Rev. Peter Hsieh

Sermon by Rev. John Lam

The worship program was rich in God's words and Christians' responses through sermon, music and prayers. Worship leader of the service was the 90-member Joint Church Choir and Orchestra, under the direction of guest conductor Herbert Tsang. Rev. Peter Hsieh led the first prayer session in which he asked for God's forgiveness on our sins, and urged Christians to only walk on God's way. Rev. John Lam then preached on the topic of "Prayers for the City", and stressed that praying for the city should be a ceaseless effort committed by Christians. After the sermon, Rev. Terrence Chan led the congregation to pray for the city's poor and those in need, the government and the issue of same-sex marriage. Last but not least, the service was concluded with the congregation singing "Make me a blessing" to signify our desire to serve God and minister to the people in Edmonton. Please see attached pictures for some highlights of the worship service

Tentatively, our next City-Wide Joint Church Worship Service will be a revival meeting to be held in June 2007. We earnestly hope that God will continue to use our partnership in ministry to further expand His Kingdom on this land!
