How many members are in the EdmCCChoir?
Our choir now has more than 20 members.

What is the application process to join the EdmCCChoir? Is there any application fee?
There is no application fee for applying to join the EdmCCChoir. Just fill in application form.

To be a member of the EdmCCChoir, is there any membership fee or other fees?
Due to a change in the model of the ministry, we are currently suspended annual membership fee.

When is the EdmCCChoir practice time? Where will be the location?
Currently, the choir do not have a weekly practice. But we will host a few special programs within a year.

Is there any age restriction for joining the EdmCCChoir? Does it require any prior experience in choir singing?
There is no age restriction for joining the choir, and it does not require any prior choir experience; but all applicant must pass our audition and interview.

What type of music will the EdmCCChoir sing?
The choir will select a combination of traditional and modern music. The main language will be in English, Mandarin and Cantonese.

Who will be leading the EdmCCChoir?
A group of brother and sisters, with heart and gift of music and from six different churches, has formed the planning committee of the Edmonton Chinese Christian Choir.

What is the different between the EdmCCChoir and a church choir?
The EdmCCChoir is a "self initiated" joint choir, it does not belongs to any church or organization. Brothers and sisters who have gift in music and utilize their experience in the EdmCCChoir to help the music ministry in their own church.
In the plan, the EdmCCChoir will have regular concerts and training programs. Most church choirs sing in the form of worship services; but the EdmCCChoir spread the gospel through concerts.
Comparing to church choirs, the EdmCCChoir will put more emphasis on training of musical technique and way to express music pieces. That will enhance the level of choir members and offer more quality music to God.

Is the EdmCCChoir a non-profit organization?
In 2009, EdmCCChoir became an Incorporated Society in Alberta. In March 2011, we were approved by federal government as a Charitable Organization, and thus able to issue tax receipts for offerings.

Where is the funding of the EdmCCChoir coming from? How can I offer to the EdmCCChoir?
Our funding comes from annual membership fee, offering and sponsorship. For offerings that are CDN$20 or more, tax receipts will be available.
